Day 01

 

Cochin – Munnar  (130kms, 4hrs)

Welcome to God’s own country, Kerala. Arrive at airport and proceed to Munnar a hill station located 1600 meters above sea level. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India it still retains its colonial charm and is famous for its tea plantations, rolling hills, picture postcard hamlets and undulating valleys. Check into your Resort and unwind. Night halt at Munnar.

Day 02

 

Munnar

After  breakfast  visit  Madupatty  Dam  &  speed  boat  ride,  Eco  Point.  Evening  visit  Tea Factory. Night Halt at Munnar.

 

Day 03

 

Munnar – Thekkady (90km, 3 hrs)

After breakfast proceed to Thekkady. On arrival check in to hotel. After Lunch visit Spice Plantation Tour. Enjoy a specially arranged programme of Kairali, the tradional dance form of Kerala and Kalari Payatu, an ancient martial arts form of Kerala. Night halt at Thekkady.

Day 04

 

Thekkady – Alleppey (140 Km, 4hrs)

Proceed to Alleppey. On arrival enjoy the famous Kerala backwater ride in vembanad lake considered the Venice of east. Night halt at Alleppey.

Day 05

 

Alleppey – Jatayu Park –  Thiruvanthapuram

Proceed  to  Jatayu  Earth  Center  which  houses  the  world’s  largest  Bird  Sculpture.  It  is believed that Jatayu, the mythical bird while trying to rescue Sita from the clutches of a fleeing Ravan, was fatally wounded in the brave act. The mortal remains of the big bird is supposed to have fallen at this very place. Arrive in Thiruvanthapuram. Visit Padmanabh Swamy temple, the richest Hindu temple in the world and Raja Ravi Varma Museum. Night halt in Thiruvanthapuram.

NOTE:  At  Padmanabh  Swamy temple, men to  compulsorily  wear dhoti  and  no shirts. Women to wear sarees. Dhotis available on rent.

Day 06

 

Kanykumari Day Tour

 

Today we will go on an excursion to the southern most tip of India – Kanykumari. Sightseein places include Suchindram Temple, Vivekananda Rock memorial, Thiruvalluar Statue and Kanyakumari temple. Night halt in Thiruvanthapuram.

Day 7 

Airport drop

Proceed to airport. Tour ends with happy memories of the trip.
